Coaching

Coaches are selected and appointed by the Surrey Player Pathway Committee which is responsible for all aspects of the player pathway activities in Surrey. 

Surrey is dedicated to the development of new and existing coaches and will, from time to time, organise coach engagement days or coach education activities. While these days and events are optional, preference will be given to coaches who attend these events.

While a coach’s preferences are taken into account wherever possible, when a DC centre or AC squad is not available, an alternative will be offered. AC coaches are unlikely to be offered a place with the same team for more than 2 consecutive seasons.

Coaches are expected to be available for all sessions but cover can be arranged if known in advance. Once a coach is contracted and the cycle has started, it is up to the coach to arrange for cover and any relevant payment, if they can't attend a session.

Coaches have to apply to be considered. All coaches must re-apply for every cycle.
